I first met Natalie in a former life, before I started my photography business. At the time, I was working with the State of Michigan, helping local governments to develop and adopt renewable energy and energy efficiency program best practices, and she was one of my project partners, coordinating eco-friendly programs for the City of Lansing/BWL.
A little while after I left that position to follow my creative passions, we ran into each other at a local watering hole and reconnected, and I was happy to find that we have a lot more in common than our love for the planet, including our faith in God, mutual friends, and a love for music.
Not long after that, Natalie & Dallas met, hit it off, and haven’t looked back since. As people who each had kids before they met, the blending of their families has always been a top priority in their relationship. They have weathered many challenges, losses, and transitions, and celebrated many milestones and joyful moments in a relatively short period of time, and through it all, they have grown together in love. Seeing them together now, I don’t think you’d ever know they weren’t always one family. To be sure, the road to their special day has not been easy, but love they share as a couple and family is undeniable and a joy to witness.
The wedding day itself was relaxed, romantic, playful, and fun, just like them. The ladies got ready at home, after which, we proceeded to the church and waited for the ceremony to begin. The church was filled with natural light, loved ones, smiles, and music. The ceremony was beautiful and seamless, and afterwards we had plenty of time for family photos and fun pictures at Moores Park with the bridal party. After that, we made our way to Lansing Brewing Company for a casual reception featuring great food, local brews, games, and more.
All in all, I have loved seeing this family come together and was so happy to be a part of their wedding day. I know that this is the beginning of a long and beautiful life together and pray that God continues to bless them many times over.
Congratulations again, Natalie, Dallas, and family!Read more
